Who these terms cover

These terms apply to appliance repair services provided by Appliance Repair Katy to customers in Katy and the surrounding area. Booking a visit, by phone or through this site, means you accept them.

Booking and arrival windows

We give an arrival window rather than an exact time, because a job before yours can run long. We call if that window is going to move.

Someone over eighteen has to be home for the whole visit. If nobody is there, the technician cannot enter and the service call fee may apply.

Estimates and pricing

The technician diagnoses the fault first, then quotes a flat price for the whole job, parts and labor included. Nothing is dismantled for repair until you approve that price.

The service call fee covers the visit and the diagnosis. It is dropped when you approve the repair, so you are not paying twice for the same trip.

If the appliance turns out to have a second, unrelated fault, we quote that separately rather than adding it quietly to the bill.

Payment

Payment is due when the work is finished, by card or cash. We issue an invoice that shows the parts fitted, the labor and the warranty start date.

Special-order parts may require payment in advance, and we say so before ordering anything.

Access and safe working conditions

We need clear access to the appliance, working power and water, and enough space to pull the unit out. Built-in and panel-ready units may need the installer who fitted them if removal risks damaging cabinetry.

Pets should be secured during the visit. Technicians can decline to work where conditions are unsafe, such as standing water on a live circuit, and will explain why.

Parts and availability

We fit OEM parts where the manufacturer still supplies them, and tell you when a part is aftermarket. Some parts for discontinued models are no longer made, in which case we say the appliance cannot be repaired rather than fitting something that will fail.

Parts you supply yourself can be fitted at your request, but they carry no warranty from us, on the part or on the labor.

Liability

We are insured, and we take responsibility for damage our technicians cause through negligence during a visit.

We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, for food loss in a failed refrigerator, for damage caused by the fault itself before we arrived, or for flooring and cabinetry damage where an appliance had to be moved and you asked us to proceed after being told of the risk.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Texas law.

Warranty

Completed repairs carry ninety days on parts and labor. The warranty page sets out exactly what is and is not covered, and how to claim.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time you book is the one that applies to your visit.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute falls to the courts of Harris County, Texas.
